Abstract-Anisotropic high-field terahertz response of free-standing carbon nanotubes
We demonstrate that unidirectionally aligned, free-standing multi-walled exhibit highly linear and terahertz (THz) responses. For the parallel to the axis, strong THz pulses induce absorption in the quasi-one-dimensional conducting media, while no is observed in the perpendicular configuration. Time-resolved measurements of transmitted THz pulses and a theoretical of the data reveal that intense THz fields enhance in by charge carriers.
