PART 1 - DESCRIPTION

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER) has a need for a new terahertz spectrometer with the capability to analyze tablet and capsule form dosage forms and providing information such as polymorphic form characterization. This type of information has traditionally only been available when running crystallographic methods. This purchase is intended to upgrade the capabilities currently held at the Division of Pharmaceutical Analysis and to support important projects such as spectral library and screening activities that are part of an effort to improve efficiency and increase sample throughput.
