In the framework of the European School of Antennas (ESoA), we are pleased to announce the sixth edition of the course “Terahertz Technology and Applications” scheduled for 6-10th June 2016 in Barcelona. The course is organized by Profs. Lluis Jofre and Jordi Romeu from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC, Barcelona, Spain) with the support of Prof. Nuria Llombart (Technical University of Delft, The Netherlands) and Prof. Antti Räisänen (Aalto University, Finland), and with the participation of Prof. Giles Davies (University of Leeds, UK), Prof. J.M. Jornet (New York University at Buffalo), Prof. D. Segovia (University of Carlos III in Madrid), Dr. Janus Grzyb (University of Wuppertal, Germany) and Drs. S. Capdevila and D. Rodrigo (École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, Switzerland). The course is mainly intended for PhD students, industry engineers, scientists and postdocs with a background in Electromagnetics. The course gives 2 ECTS to the students who pass the exam.

For this sixth edition of the course, special emphasis will be placed on the recent advancements on the terahertz field at physical level (graphene, plasmonics), devices (quantum sensors, superconductive antennas, CMOS, SiGe) and systems (microscopy, fast acquisition systems cameras, bio-sensing) for industrial, scientific and biomedicalapplications.
Course Registration
The course fee is 440 EUR for full time university students or university employees (non-profit institutions) and 880 EUR for companies. Course fee reimbursements will be offered for up to 2 students based on their special course progress and personal needs. The number of participants is limited to 20, so please register as soon as possible.
