Recently the diagnostic of dental caries is in a queue only using X-rays in most hospitals from all over the world. Terahertz Parametric Imaging (TPI) has the latest technology for medical applications especially for dental caries. This technology is beneficial for biological samples due to the small energy of terahertz emission. Our developed terasense system investigated 2D and 3 D images of different samples of human teeth. After analysis of the measurements of the human tooth, the results suggest that the novel terahertz parametric technology is capable of investigation of the inner side structure of the teeth. The technology can be useful in detecting the defect in all types of a human and animal tooth. All the measurement have been done by TPI system and analysis by using matlab that are in good agreement. It summarizes the characteristics of THz waves and their interaction with teeth sample and subsequently presents available THz-based technologies (THz Parametric Imaging) and their potential for future diagnosis use.
