TeraSense-New terahertz sources for 74 GHz, 76 GHz, 104 GHz, 105 GHz, 108 GHz and 109 GHz added as a result of exploring manufacturing capabilities

TERASENSE uses every opportunity to explore our technical and production capabilities or even go beyond them, because we fully realize that often such experiments  may end up with  a totally new product being born or an upgraded device seeing the light. As many customers know our  existing range  THz sources now covers frequencies 100 GHz ; 140 GHz ; 180 GHz ; 280 GHz and 300 GHz, and for some of them we offer a few options of power output.

However there are a lot of customers who often  need and ask for something else, and often their requirements lie  very close to what we used to manufacture, yet not always within our reach. In the past we used to decline quite a few of such  requests/ inquires, because customization entails a lot of time and efforts. At the same time customers are not always ready to pay extra charges to compensate for non-recurring expenses or R&D costs that may be need to design and develop the new product.

This is why  we usually  offer only those narrow band THz sources, which are indicated in datasheet and catalog. However, one of our customers from China asked if we could supply THz sources at 76GHz，105GHz， 109GHz and we agreed to try. Eventually, as negotiations with the end customer went on, we were requested to fabricate three THz generators as below.

As you can see none of the frequencies  indicated here used be our standard options for THz sources before. Well, it's time to break the mold again!

We are proud to report that we have successfully accomplished that mission! As this path is now check marked as 'been-there-done-that' and   explored, we can add a few more frequencies expanding the line of our commercially available THz sources.
