Development of novel methods of the THz imaging and spectroscopy of the biological tissues via control of the complex index of refraction is an important problem in diagnostics of various pathologies. In this work, alterations of free-to-bound water ratio in rat skin dehydrated using the hyperosmotic agent as measured by the time-domain THz spectroscopy were investigated.
