Abstract
Terahertz (THz) technology is a recent promising technology that plays an important role in various areas, including national defense, military, materials, chemistry, medicine, pharmaceutical, communications, and many other fields. In this article, the application of terahertz spectroscopy to protein detection is reviewed. The theoretical foundation of terahertz technology in protein detection is explained. In addition, research on protein conformational changes and molecular interactions is reviewed. Subsequently, the quantitative analysis of protein content is introduced. In addition, existing challenges and solutions are discussed.
