Terasense has developed an original patent-protected technology for making a new type of semiconductor detectors for sub-THz radiation operating at room temperature.
The detectors can be combined into a compact and rather inexpensive sensor array (similar to CCD/CMOS sensors in a photo camera). The company is developing imaging applications for THz and sub-THz frequency ranges based on its sensors. The detectors proposed by Terasense have good responsivity comparable with similar products in the market meant to operate in sub-THz range (0.1 – 0.7 THz). However, unlike other detectors our items can take credit for low-cost, uniform pixel-to-pixel sensitivity (pixel-to-pixel deviation of the responsivity is less than 20%) and capability to be easily produced in large quantities in the form of 2D array thanks to compatibility of theTerasense technology with mass semiconductor manufacturing lines.

Ultrafast Sub-THz Detectors (350 ps)
Terasense proudly presents its new product: an ultrafast high-sensitive sub-THz detector (with multi-band sensitivity in the range 50 GHz — 0.7 THz). These detectors can be used for measuring of fast-changing and transient sub-THz signals.
- Response time - 350 ps (bandwidth not less than 3.75 GHz);
