A Compact Accelerator Driver for High-Power Sources of Coherent Radiation

MY NOTE: I JUST CAME ACROSS THIS ONLINE. I HAD NEVER HEARD OF JEFFERSON SCIENCE ASSOCIATES BEFORE. I HAVE POSTED SOME INFORMATION ABOUT IT BELOW THE BRIEF MENTION OF THE HIGH-POWER SOURCE OF COHERENT RADIATION.
http://www.ibridgenetwork.org/jlabs/a-compact-accelerator-driver-for-high-power-sources-of-cohere
This invention describes a design process for accelerators that serve as high-power sources of Terahertz-Ultraviolet coherent radiation. The process allows for compact, lightweight, operationally simple and potentially more robust accelerator systems for use in research, industrial and security applications.

Jefferson Science Associates, LLC

JSA, LLC is a SURA/CSC company created specifically to manage and operate the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility (Jefferson Lab) for the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Science. This nuclear physics user facility enables the international user community to conduct outstanding scientific research. JSA combines SURA, the university consortium that propelled Jefferson Lab into the forefront of both nuclear/hadronic physics and superconducting radiofrequency (SRF) technologies and CSC, the corporation that has successfully managed the infrastructure and business operations at three DOE sites, and many other facilities, saving the Government millions of dollars while winning numerous safety and small business awards.
JSA is committed to achieving Department of Energy science goals through a disciplined approach to laboratory operations and business management that will transform the delivery of discover-level science for the Nuclear Physics User Community. JSA, LLC looks forward to working with the Department of Energy, the Office of Science and the Office of Nuclear Physics to build the planned 12 GeV Upgrade. JSA, LLC will also work with the Department of Defense, the Free Electron Laser stakeholders and its users to continue to enhance the FEL program. JSA, LLC will continue to use proven JLab processes for prioritizing research in concert with the international scientific nuclear physics user community, supplemented by performance-based project management systems and procedures. JSA, LLC will effectively and safely deliver discovery potential science in a budget-constrained environment.
The JSA, LLC management approach adapts industry best practices in project management to a laboratory research environment to deliver efficiencies that will result in additional resources for science.
