TeraView opens its first overseas office in Ohio

TeraView is pleased to announce the opening of its first overseas office within the Institute for the Development and Commercialization of Advanced Sensor Technology, IDCAST, in Dayton, Ohio.
“There is an impressive concentration of Terahertz systems and technology in this region of the United States” said Dr. Don Arnone, TeraView’s CEO. “Our long and productive associations with world-class researchers in this region, who we support and work with as collaborators and customers, make Ohio ideally suited for this facility.”
After around 10 years in development, terahertz technology is now coming of age. TeraView has been at the forefront of both the technology and its applications, and its business is growing across a number of sectors and geographic areas. Growing and supporting the business in North America is clearly a key priority and the facility is vital in support of this.
To help launch this new presence, and in association with IDCAST TeraView is planning to run a series of Terahertz training events, aimed at demonstrating the potential of the technology and how it can be used in different applications.
The first terahertz (THz) workshop will be held on the 17th and 18th of May 2011, at IDCAST, Dayton, Ohio. This workshop will aim at bringing together new and existing terahertz instrumentation users. It will be an opportunity to share knowledge and understating of the technology. THz systems will be used for hands on demonstration of the equipment. Data processing and analysis techniques will be also extensively discussed. For more information and to sign up, see the Workshop Flier.
