Advanced Photonix, to hold Q3 Conference call Monday February 14th.

MY NOTE: I KNOW THAT MANY READING THIS BLOG ARE ANXIOUSLY AWAITING THE Q3 CONFERENCE CALL OF ADVANCED PHOTONIX (API), THIS COMING MONDAY. FOR THOSE OF YOU, WHO WERE UNAWARE, I WANTED TO GIVE YOU A "HEADS-UP" ABOUT THIS EVENT. YOU CAN EXPECT, YOURS TRULY TO HAVE A LIST OF QUESTIONS TO ASK RICK AND ROB ABOUT THz, SO PLAN ON LISTENING IN, OR BETTER YET, HAVE YOUR OWN QUESTIONS READY. THIS ISN'T AN INVESTMENT BLOG, BUT I'M GOING TO GIVE MY OPINIONS ON WHAT WE ARE LIKELY TO HEAR.

  • I'M PREDICTING VERY POSITIVE GUIDANCE GOING FORWARD;
  • I EXPECT LARGE REVENUE GROWTH IN THE HIGH SPEED OPTICAL RECEIVER MARKET;
  • I ANTICIPATE, NEW CONTRACT SALES IN TERAHERTZ, WITH NEW LEADS AND NEW OPPORTUNITIES;
  • THE LEGACY OPTICAL SOLUTIONS MARKET WILL SEE MODEST GROWTH, BUT I EXPECT POSITIVE REVENUE;
OVERALL, BECAUSE THIS IS A GROWING COMPANY, WHICH CONTINUES TO INVEST HEAVILY IN R&D,  NEW HIRES, AND EXPANSION, I EXPECT A MINIMAL ONE OR TWO CENT GAAP LOSS, WITH THE EYE ON FUTURE QUARTER PROFITABILITY.
I'M REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO EXCITING NEWS ON THE GROWTH OF TERAHERTZ AS A COMMERCIALLY VIABLE INDUSTRY.
----------
(POST-SCRIPT, 2/1/11, AT LEAST ONE VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE LONG-TIME RETAIL INVESTOR IS PREDICTING THAT API WILL SHOW A PROFIT, THIS QUARTER-LET'S HOPE, HE'S RIGHT!) AS ALWAYS DO YOUR OWN DUE DILIGENCE.
