A compact circular patch antenna operating at terahertz frequency is presented. Designed antenna has a substrate of length 100 μm, width of 100 μm and thickness of 10μm. Radius of the patch is taken to be 40μm. Compactness of formulated antenna at terahertz frequency makes it suitable for Wireless Body Area Network (WBAN) application. The performance of antenna has been simulated and further its performance has been analysed for link quality of the channel on which it radiates. Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) and Bit Error Rate (BER)are the important metrics used to evaluate link quality. These metrics are explored by evaluating path loss absorption coefficient of simplified human model at terahertz frequency. The simulation results obtained reveal proposed antenna will offer good link quality at terahertz frequency as the SNR offered by proposed antenna is high while BER is low.
